Acquisitions activity surrounding companies with cyber-security capabilities was frenetic during 2009. Jane's research indicated that a total of 14 per cent of all defence and security acquisition targets purchased in 2009 had some exposure to the cyber-security and information-resilience domains, while IT providers overall accounted for 17 per cent of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity ion the military and government fields.
