Abstract

The Miner had just arrived at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, from the building yard of Messrs. Dudgeon, of Cubitt Town. Specially constructed for torpedo service, she was to carry a party of Royal Engineers whose sole duty was to lay and attend to the submarine mine defences.
