- Abstract
'Experiments have been made on a large scale in the Seine with Garrett's submarine apparatus. The have been successful. The inventor was attired in the ordinary diving costume, and remained 35 minutes under water without requiring a renewal of air from above. When he rose to the surface after his immersion he was in excellent condition, while his spirits appeared to be buoyant.'
