Abstract

'An exhibition of the Sims-Edison electric torpedo.' … The last public exhibition to be given before the South American delegates was that at Willet's Point yesterday, where the Southerners saw the workings of the famous Sims-Edison electric torpedo. Although a number of the delegates have already gone home, half a dozen are still in this country, and promptly accepted the company's invitation to witness the work of one of the most improved weapons known to modern harbour defence.'
