Abstract

'On 25th February Rear Admiral Boyd Robinson, head of the maritime division in the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) told a parliamentary committee that Australia's ability to conduct a deep-sea rescue operation for its six Collins-class submarines relies on a rescue vehicle that is based in Scotland and it is unlikely to reach the accident site in less than 80 hours."
