The commander of the torpedo gunboats Almirante Lynch and Almirante Condell report on the sinking of the Blanco Encalada, it is important to note that this differs from the earlier report of Captain Goni; in Goni's report the number of torpedoes launched was given as seven, whilst in the later report gives the number of torpedoes launched against the Blanco Encalada as five, of which the two bow launched torpedoes failed to hit their target.
