Abstract

Ten torpedo boats (length 66 feet, beam 11 feet 3 inches; trial speed 18 knots) fitted with 200 indicated horsepower three-cylinder inverted-vertical compound engines operating at 380 revolutions per minute on steam supplied at a pressure of 147 pounds per square inch produced by a locomotive boilers with a heating surface of 800 square feet with closed stokeholes and forced draught firing were built by Mr. S. Schichau of Elbing for the Russian Government.
