- Abstract
Parsons drew the Editors' attention to the fact that they had incorrectly included the Viper amongst the vessels built by Sir W. G. Armstrong, Whitworth, and Company, Limited. The Viper had been built by the Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company, Limited, to the order of the British Admiralty, the hull and boilers being supplied by R. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Company, Limited, as sub-contractors, to the order of Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company, Limited.
