Abstract

In November 1883 Yarrow and Co. had a variety of small steamers in hand. At the time they were building; three (length 60 feet, beam 12 feet) steam launches for Batavia; three (length 50 feet, beam 10 feet) steam launches for the West Coast of South America; one second-class torpedo boat; two shallow draught stern wheel steamers; one electric launch; one (length 145 feet, beam 25 feet) side-wheel steamer for the Argentine Government and one (length 145 feet, beam 7 feet) launch for Egypt.
