Abstract

A first-class torpedo boat (length 110 feet, beam 12 feet 6 inches, draught 5 feet 6 inches; displacement 52 tons) built by Messrs Yarrow and Co., Poplar, for the Brazilian Government, had had its propeller removed; false keels fitted, and was fully rigged for its voyage across the Atlantic to Brazil.
