Abstract

A torpedo boat (length 100 feet, beam 12.5 feet) built by Yarrow and Co., Poplar for the Russian Government, and armed with six Whitehead torpedoes. Yarrow and Co. were the first builders to deliver boats complete and ready for service to the Admiralty; they were also responsible for the introduction of the bow-trough method for launching Whitehead torpedoes.
