Abstract

A detailed description of the projectile torpedo designed by John Ericsson for use in the torpedo vessel Destroyer. The torpedo was 16 inches in diameter; 10 feet long, and had a 16-inch shell with a percussion detonator inserted in the forward end for a warhead.
