A steam launch (length 35 feet, beam 6 feet 3 inches, draught 1 foot 3 inches forward and 2 feet inches aft; trial speed 7.5 knots), fitted with a five and a half inch by nine inch stroke, single cylinder inverted-vertical simple marine engine, operating at 300 revolutions per minute on steam supplied at 85 pounds per square inch by a vertical marine boiler with Field's pattern tubes; built by Messrs. Crichiton and Co. Abo, Finland.
