"The US Navy and UK Royal Navy are facing big decisions on the future size, shape and cost of their submarine-based nuclear deterrent forces. The US Navy (USN) is earmarking resources to replace its ageing fleet of 14 Ohio-class nuclear-powered ballistic submarines (SSBNs) under the most definitive plans the service has laid out for this programme to date."
