The fourth experiment at Stokes Bay against the Oberon was scheduled to take place on the 26th of September 1874, weather permitting. It was to be a repetition of the previous experiments in all particulars, except the distance of the charge, which was to be 50 feet horizontally from the nearest side of the vessel. Ellis #147.
