According to defence ministry aides and senior industry officials in France French arms suppliers were likely to win export orders worth around EUR7 billion (USD10 billion) in 2009 - the highest figure this decade - and could make additional foreign sales by the end of 2009. France's Delegation Generale pour l'Armement (DGA) defence procurement agency indicated on the 8th of September 2009 that the finalisation of Brazil's contract with DCNS for the construction of four conventional submarines and the hull of a future nuclear-propelled submarine was by far the biggest booking for 2009.
