- Abstract
On the ninth of April 1883 Admiral Sir Cooper Key, K.C.B., First Sea Lord; Rear-Admiral Brandreth, Controller of the Navy; Mr. George Rendel, and Mr. Nathaniel Barnaby witnessed some interesting experiments involving the launching of Whitehead torpedoes from a second-class torpedo boat built by Messrs. Yarrow and Co. for the English Government.
