Abstract

Although employed as stationary engines these inverted vertical compound engines with high and low-pressure cylinders of 7.25 in. and 11.5 in. in diameter with a stroke of 8 in. were designed by Messrs. Tipping and Co., of Portsmouth, for use in steam launches.
