'NEWPORT, R. I., Oct. 22. - The Cunningham torpedo is to have another trial at the torpedo station this week, under the auspices of the Bureau of Ordnance of the navy. It is the invention of Patrick Cunningham of New Bedford, and is owned by a company of which the inventor is President. It was first tried two years ago. There was another trial last fall, and now, greatly improved apparently, the torpedo is ready for a third trial.'
