A general review of "the methods of training adopted in Great Britain today [1936] in Admiralty establishments, at the universities, and at various technical colleges." The courses at Greenwich had been described before but this was the first time that information on the Ordinary and Higher National Certificates had been presented. These certificates were awarded by a joint committee of the Institution of Naval Architects and the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights in conjunction with the Board of Education and the Scottish Education Department.
