'The keel for Russia's third Project 677 Lada-class diesel-electric submarine RFN Sevastopol, was laid down at the Admiralty Shipyards on the 10th of November 2006. The successor to the project 877 Kilo-class boats and marketed for export as the Amur class, the Lada class incorporates 150 novel features ranging from its construction to its armament, said its designer, Yurly Kormillitsyn, at the keel-laying ceremony."
