- Abstract
Recent trials of the Lay torpedo in the Bosphorus had proved to be a great success. Colonel Lay had succeeded in sending his torpedo across the Bosphorus currents straight to a target of much smaller dimensions than any hostile vessel likely to make an appearance in Turkish or other waters.
