- Abstract
The competitive trials between a second-class Thornycroft torpedo boat commanded by Lieutenant Roxby, and the new Herreschoff torpedo boat commanded by Lieutenant Wonham were resumed on the 13th of March 1879, and brought to a premature ending when the framing of the fan engine of the Herreschoff boat collapsed.
