Abstract

Six first-class seagoing torpedo boats (length 130 feet, beam 13 feet 6 inches, displacement 95 tons, fully loaded, speed 22 knots) fitted with inverted-vertical triple-expansion engines, with steam supplied by marine locomotive boilers. Armament: one torpedo tube built into the bow; two torpedo tubes fitted on a turntable aft; and three quick-firing guns mounted en echelon.
