Abstract

Torpedo boat No. 107 (length 164 feet overall, 160 feet between perpendiculars, beam 17 feet, draught 5 feet 10 inches; displacement 185 tons) passed its final official full-speed trial at the mouth of the Thames in mid-September 1901. The mean speed over the measured mile was 25.401 knots, the three-hour trial speed was 25.206 knots, and the indicated horsepower was 2,899.
