After having the previous trial defects made good, the torpedo boat destroyer Express (length 239 feet 3 inches overall, 235 feet between perpendiculars, beam 23 feet 6 inches, draught 10 feet 3 inches; displacement 465 tons, light, 540 tons, full load) resumed trials in early-July, but these were abandoned when a fault developed in a low-pressure cylinder.
