Abstract

Torpedo boat No. 149 (length at the waterline 118 feet, beam 13 feet one and a half inches, draught 3 feet 9 inches, displacement 76 metric tons; trial speed 24.64 knots) fitted with a 16 inch by 23 inch by 31 and a half inch by 18 inch stroke inverted-vertical triple-expansion marine engine operating at 339 revolutions per minutes with steam supplied at 178 pounds per square inch by a water-tube boiler. Built by August Normand for the French Government.
