Abstract

Nine torpedo boats (length 128 feet, beam 15 feet 9 inches, draught three feet five and a half inches; displacement 87 tons) built by Gremania-Werft of Berlin and Kiel for the Turkish Government were fitted with 16 inch by 24 and a half inch by 35 and a half inch by 16 and a half inch stroke 1,300 indicated horsepower inverted-vertical double-acting triple-expansion surface-condensing marine engines with the cylinders supported by four steel columns at the front and the back operating with steam supplied by marine locomotive boilers.
