Abstract

Three coastguard boats; Oltul, Siretul, and Bistrita (length 100 feet, beam 13 feet 6 inches, draught 6 feet; speed eleven knots natural draught, thirteen and a quarter knots moderate forced draught), built by the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Co. of Blackwall, for the Rumanian Government completed the voyage from the Thames to Galatz in 19 days, coaling at Gibraltar and Malta. Armament 1.87 mm and 2.47 mm Hotchkiss guns.
