Abstract

A two and a half inch by four inch by six and a half inch by four and a half inch stroke inverted-vertical double-acting triple-expansion marine engine built by Welch and Co. of Plymouth, operating with steam supplied at 180 pounds per square inch by a horizontal marine tubular boiler. Welch and Co. supplied twelve different sizes of engines, ranging from 3 to 300 indicated horsepower.
