Abstract

A torpedo boat of the Falke type (length 135 feet, beam 14 feet) built by Messrs. Yarrow and Co., Poplar, for the British Government achieved a mean speed of 22.977 knots during a two hour continuous run, loaded with a weight of 15 tons representing armament, fuel and etc. (A speed of over 24 knots was achieved during preliminary trials.).
