Abstract

Two torpedo boats (length 100 feet, beam 12 feet six inches) built by Yarrow and Co., Poplar, for the Italian Government collided during exercises at Spezia. One of the boats was travelling at 14 knots at the time and was saved from sinking by the presence of a watertight bulkhead near the point of collision.
