Abstract

Two 5-inch by 6-inch stroke; twin cylinder inverted-vertical simple marine engines were mounted on either side of the firebox of a locomotive boiler. Directly coupled to two four-bladed propellers 2 feet 6 inches in diameter, pitch 3 feet; built by Messrs. Maudslay, Sons, and Field, Lambeth.
